About the settlement
The Dursztyn settlement is 5 luxurious, year-round cottages, decorated in the highland style, built in a beautiful place where three National Parks meet: the Tatra, Pieniny and Gorce National Parks. This is a patch of natural mountain beauty still undiscovered by mass tourism for you to enjoy.
The cottages are located at an altitude of 740 meters above sea level, which provides an unforgettable view. Drinking your morning coffee from here you will see the Tatra Mountains, Babia Gora, Three Crowns and Gorce. In summer it is a dream starting point for cycling and mountain hiking enthusiasts. In winter it will be appreciated by skiers. Families with children will be pleased by the old castles towering over the nearby Czorsztyn Lake, boat cruises and proximity to thermal pools.
We have taken care of the furnishings and decor of our cottages down to the smallest detail, focusing on beauty and functionality.
Let yourself be wrapped in the warmth of natural wood, decorated with hand-carved mountain motifs. Rest in a modern, cozy interior with a fireplace, which like a warm sweater will make you feel at home.
The cottages of the Dursztyn Settlement are twinned. Each consists of a spacious living room with kitchenette, dining area, fireplace and comfortable sofa. From the living room you can go straight out onto the terrace with an unearthly mountain view. The bathroom has a shower, and each of the two bedrooms has a viewing balcony and comfortable beds.
Each of the cottages is equipped with a fireplace with a supply of wood. There is also a TV, a private garden and monitored parking. The convenience of residents is ensured by modern, complete kitchen equipment, elegant bed linen and towels, and a hair dryer. There is WiFi in all cottages.
Attractions of the area
An attraction for smaller and larger history lovers, a treat for photographers and enthusiasts of beautiful places. Castles in Niedzica (just 10 minutes away from Dursztyn Settlement by car) and the castle in Czorsztyn (15 minutes away) are two symbols of the area. Each could tell us arch-interesting stories from the time of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Their walls hide a mass of secrets, historic chambers and also – the ghosts of the aristocrats who once lived there. From the castles there is also a view of Czorsztyn Lake – postcard-like pictures guaranteed!
Lake Czorsztyn is not only beautiful, but also mysterious – in its depths it hides a submerged history. At its bottom are the remnants of villages whose inhabitants were displaced in the 1990s, and whose entire villages were flooded so that a reservoir could be built to protect nearby areas from the rising waters of the Dunajec River today. Before this happened, however, care was taken to ensure that the historic wooden villas from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as the village cottages and stone cellars, were at least partially saved. Today they can be seen in the Czorsztyn Settlement, on the opposite side of the lake. In the area you can not only take a stroll, enjoying the view of the two castles and the Pieniny, Tarts and Gorce Mountains, but also – eat well.
